Alan Ferris Moore, 58, of Ray City, died Thursday April 5, 2018 at his residence.

He was born September 16, 1959 in Hamilton County, FL to the late Billy Ferris Moore and Iris Jo Wilkerson. He was a service specialist with the Georgia Department of Labor and a member of the Ray City United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife: Bernice Reed Moore of Ray City; 3 step sons Josh Rowan of Ray City, Brad (Kerry) Rowan of Valdosta and Richard (Michelle) Keen of Nashville; step daughter: Brooke Rowan of Lake Park; mother: Iris Jo Moore of Quitman; half sister: Lora Moore; half brother: Bucky Moore; mother-in-law: Gail Reed of Valdosta; brother-in-law: Richard (Roxie) Reed of Ray City; 2 nieces and a nephew.

The family will honor his request for cremation. A memorial service will be held Sunday April 22, 2018 at 3 PM in the Ray City United Methodist Church with the Rev. Don Bridges officiating.
