Obituary

Curtis Albert Cersey, 81, of Nashville died Wednesday January 17, 2018 at his residence.

He was born February 3, 1936 in Berrien County to the late Clinton Cersey and the late Eunie Griffin Cersey. He was a retired auto detailer having worked for Schwarz Pontiac and Bo Lovein Ford as well as working in his yard. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church and attended A'New Way Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a sister: Shirley Nelms and a son-in-law: Howard Gaskins.

He is survived by his wife: Loretha Nelms Cersey of Nashville; daughter: Joy Gaskins of Nashville; son: Joey Cersey of Nashville; brother: Homer (Ethel) Cersey of Carrollton; 4 grandchildren: Chris Cersey, Carrie (Eric) Vickers. Nick (April) Gaskins and Ashley (Chad) Crews; 5 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday January 20, 2018 at 3 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Bennett and the Rev. Franklin Vinson officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery. Visitation is Friday 7-9 PM.
