Sara Alice Mainor Hendley, 90, of Braselton, died Saturday September 17, 2022 at the Mariana Home Care in Braselton.

She was born November 2, 1931 in Berrien County to the late Howard Mainor and the late Nancy Taylor Mainor. She was a retired educator, worked for the Sumter County Board of Education and the Schley County Board of Education. She was the widow of Jessie Herbert Hendley who died on June 27, 2022.

She is survived by her daughter: Linda "Kitty" (Steve) Bradshaw of Flowery Branch; 2 sons: Howard (Sharon) Hendley of Hilton Head Island, SC and Chris (Ragan Pollock) Hendley of Pelham; 5 grandchildren: Kelly (Jay) Gerstenhaber, Andrew Lewis, Elizabeth (Ryan) Ott, Holden (Jessica) Hendley and Adam Hendley; 5 great grandchildren: Jacob Shelton, McKenna Holmes, Colleen Ott, Cassidy Ott and Emilt Ott; great great grandchild: Hendley Shelton; former daughter-in-law: Susan Spencer Hendley.

A private graveside service will be held Wednesday September 21, 2022 in the Nashville Memorial Gardens.
