Alton Bailey, 74,of Nashville died Saturday May 26, 2018.

He was born September 16, 1943 in Berrien County to the late Stanley Bailey and the late Mary Laura Scarbrough Bailey.  He retired after 48 years as the owner of Bailey Appliance & Electronics.  He was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Everett Bailey and Wesley Bailey.

He is survived by his wife: Phyllis Turner Bailey of Nashville; 2 daughters: Dale (Chad) Vickers of Alapaha and Kim (Tim) Hughes of Nashville; son: Al (Benjie McEntyre) Bailey of Fernandina Beach, FL; 5 grandchildren: J. Hughes, Tyler Cowart, Darby Cowart, Bailey Hughes and Sam Hughes; a great grandchild: JJ Givens; 2 brothers: Earl Bailey of Nashville and Lamar Bailey of Ocilla.

A graveside funeral service will be held Tuesday May 29, 2018 at 11 AM in Westview Cemetery with Mr. Greg A. Ray officiating.  No formal visitation will be held and the family will receive friends in the cemetery after the service. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to the Betty Dupree Healthcare Center or the Berrien County Humane Society.
