Margie Alveita "Veda" Kennedy, 75, of Tifton, died Friday January 15, 2021 at the Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah.

She was born October 20, 1945 in Irwin County to the late Fred Gay and the late Clara Mathis Gay. She was a homemaker, devoted mother and member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Terrell Gay and Bobby Gay.

She is survived by 2 sons: Steve (Meg) Kennedy of Woodstock and Eric Kennedy of Marietta; 2 granddaughters: Kaitlyn and Rebekah; sister: Betty Jean Maine of Nashville; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday January 19, 2021 at 2 PM in the Fletcher Cemetery with Mr. Steve Kennedy officiating. Visitation will be in the cemetery thirty minutes prior to the service. Memorials can be made to either the Lupus Research Alliance or American Heart Association.
