Ancil Eugene Cumbus, 85, of Ray City, died Wednesday November 21, 2012 in the South Georgia Medical Center.
He was born October 26, 1927 in Berrien County to the late Marcelious Cumbus and the late Frances Williams. He was a retired farmer and carpenter. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ray City.
He is survived by his wife: Lois Gunter Cumbus of Ray City; 4 sons: David Cumbus of Nashville, Junior Cumbus of Nashville, Jimmy Kersey of Moultrie, and Paul Kersey of Brookfield; 5 daughters: Grace Woods of Adel, Jean Strawder of Nashville, Marilyn Strawder of Nashville, Melba Evans of Nashville, and Debra Fountain of Valdosta; 2 sisters: Betty Rigdon of Nashville and Gloria Ann White of Eustis, FL; 26 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday November 24, 2012 at 11:00 AM in Fellowship Cemetery with Rev. Jeff Palmer officiating.
Visitation is Friday from 6-8 PM.
