Andy Julian Croft, 89, of Nashville, died Friday March 13, 2015 at the Fellowship Home.
He was born May 2, 1925 in Colquitt County to the late Chester Julian Croft and the late Nina McCoy Croft. He was a retired office manager with Home Propane Gas Co and Tex Gas for over 35 years, served on the Nashville City Council for 8 years and attended Nashville Holiness Church. He was an Army Veteran and served in the South Pacific. He was preceded in death by his wife: Doris Tyler Croft who died on February 28, 2015, daughter-in-law: Judy Croft, a sister, and 4 brothers.
He is survived by: 2 daughters, Dale (Larry) Heath of Nashville and Alice (David) Tucker of Nashville; 4 sons, Bobby Lee Croft of Lake Park, Danny (Vicky) Croft of Nashville, Don (Linda) Croft of Nashville, and Jimmy Croft of Nashville; sister: Ruth Humphrey of Valdosta; 16 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday March 16, 2015 at 4 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Johnny Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Nashville Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Monday from 12 PM until hour of services.
All present and past members of the Nashville City Council are asked to be honorary pallbearers.
