Eugene Autrey Moore, 86, of Alapaha, died Monday August 28, 2023 at SGMC in Valdosta.

He was born August 17, 1937 in Irwin County to the late Cleo Clayton Moore and the late Christie Janie Rowe Moore. He was farmer, member of Glory Church and served in the US Army National Guard. He was preceded in death by a sister: Nell Rowan.

He is survived by his wife: Elizabeth Tucker Moore of Alapaha; daughter: Dr. Bridgett Moore (Richard) Barnes of Valdosta; grandson: Tucker (Ashley Oelrich) Barnes of Gainesville, FL.

Funeral services will be held Thursday August 31, 2023 at 2 PM in Glory Church with the Rev. Carroll Roberts and Rev. Tommy Mason officiating. Interment will follow in Glory cemetery. There is no formal visitation.
