Mrs. Avy Browning Cook, 75, of Nashville, GA passed away early Tuesday morning, March 1, 2011 at Pine Pointe Hospice Center in Macon, GA.
She was born in Lanier County, married the late Mr. Bobby Jack Cook and resided in Nashville for 52 years before moving to Macon to live with her daughter for the past two years.She worked at The Citizens Bank for 35 years and was an active member of First Baptist Church. Mrs. Cook enjoyed walking, gardening and most especially dancing. She loved the Lord and knew what was important in life – the love of family and friends. This was evident to all those that knew her.
She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. David Anthony (Peggy) Keys, Jr; four grandchildren, Mr. Robert Heath (Cara) Wilson, Mrs. Brandon Gray (Beth) Youmans, Miss Eleanor Kate Wilson and Miss Rachel Wesleyan Wilson; one great grandchild, Thomas Gage Wilson; her mother-in-law, Mrs. E.J. (Frankie) Cook; sister-in-law, Mrs. John Albert (Helen) Griner; and niece, Ms. Pamela Sue Griner.
Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church in Nashville, GA on Thursday, March 3rd at 1 p.m. Visitation will be held at the church one hour before the funeral services begin.
