Barbara Ann Brogdon's Obituary
Barbara Ann Brogdon, 70, of Valdosta, died Thursday October 10, 2013 at the Phoebe Sumter Medical Center in Americus.
She was born March 30, 1943 in Berrien County to the late Edward Beauren Jacobs and the late Eunice Grantham. She retired from Valdosta State University as registrar and was a member of Perimeter Road Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a sister: Wydene Giddens and a brother: Edward Beauren Jacobs, Jr.
She is survived by a daughter: Melony (Randy) Kemp of Valdosta; 2 sons: Steven (Mary Ellen) Brogdon of Valdosta and Stacy (Leslie) Brogdon of Valdosta; 2 sisters: Wylene Hughes of Longwood, FL and Geraldine Phillips of Longwood, FL; 7 grandchildren: Blake Kemp, Tyler Kemp, Destinee Brogdon, Luke Brogdon, Carter Brogdon, Taylor Brogdon, and Parker Brogdon; special friends: Wanda Rumph and Wanda Swilley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Sunday October 13, 2013 at 4 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Brian Anderson and Rev. Charlie Fleetwood officiating. Interment will follow in the Glory Cemetery. Visitation is Saturday from 6 to 8 PM.
