Bennie Wayne Jowers, 79, of Willacoochee, died Thursday November 23, 2023 at Pruitt Health in Moultrie.

He was born July 15, 1944 in Willacoochee to the late Albert Jowers and the late Aline Holland Jowers. He was disabled, loved listening to music and was truly loved by all. He was a member of Beulah United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by a sister: Annie Mae Williams Edgy; brother: Raymond Jowers; 2 nephews: Charles Williams and Rad Jowers.

He is survived by a brother: Edward (Lorene) Jowers of Quitman; 4 nieces: Sharon Mosley of Adel, Teresa (Bill) Sumner of Ocilla, Belinda (Scott) Williams of NC and Terrolyn Foster of St. Simons Island; 3 nephews: Gary (Brenda) Williams of Brunswick, Lamar (Debbie) Jowers of Nashville and Ramie (Heather) Jowers of Waverly; several great nieces and great nephews.

Funeral services will be held Sunday November 26, 2023 at 3 PM in the Beulah United Methodist Church with the Rev. Eddie Morrison officiating. Interment will follow in the Rowe cemetery. Visitation is Saturday from 6 to 8 PM in the funeral home. We are so thankful that Bennie can finally see, in his honor, we ask that everyone who attends the service to please wear red because this is the only color he could visualize for years.
