Bennie Singletary's Obituary
Bennie Singletary, 77, of Howell, died Thursday September 27, 2012 in the South Georgia Medical Center.
He was born December 23, 1934 in Lanier County to the late Amos Singletary and the late Claudie Ellen Hall. He was retired from Levi Strauss as a garment cutter.
He was preceded in death by a daughter: Diane Morgan who died in 2007, step mother: Lillie Velma Kent Singletary, 3 sisters: Mary Alice Moore, Patsy Gray, and Betty Luke.
He is survived by his wife: Wilma Sirmans Singletary of Howell; son: Dennis Singletary of Howell; son-in-law: Jeffery Morgan of Howell; 2 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; sister: Shirley Brown of McRae; 2 brothers: Elton Singletary of Adel and Donnie Singletary of Hinesville.
Funeral services will be held Sunday September 30, 2012 at 2:30 PM in the Poplar Springs Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Kenneth Matthews and the Rev. Donnie Sloan officiating. Interment will follow in the Poplar Springs Cemetery. Visitation is Saturday from 6 to 8 PM.
