Bernice Sutton, 90, of Nashville, died Thursday August 18, 2022 at the Fellowship Home of Nashville.

She was born July 12, 1932 in Berrien County to the late Mitchell Hopson and the late Mary Etta Cannady Hopson. She was a homemaker, faithfully worked with her husband at Berrien Drug Store as a bookkeeper for years and also worked at Norton's Jewelers and Steel's Jewelers. She was a member of the Nashville First Baptist Church and the widow of Dr. Harry Louis Sutton who died in 2020. She was also preceded in death by 2 sisters: Essie Bell Dosch and Montyle Farmer; brother: Glen Hopson.

She is survived by her daughter: Sue (John) Erickson of Nashville; son: Louis (Millie) Sutton of Dublin; 3 grandchildren: Christopher (Lora Beth) Sutton of Dublin, Kimberly (Jason) Smith of Leeds, AL and Andrew (Taylor Wilson) Sutton of Greenville, SC; 2 great grandchildren: Zoey and Ruth; brother: Johnny (Darlene) Hopson of Mystic; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services will be held Sunday August 21, 2022 at 5 PM in the Nashville Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Danny Ray officiating. Visitation will be held in the cemetery after the service.
