Betty Jean Burnum's Obituary
Betty Jean Burnum, 77, died Tuesday March 31, 2015 in Langdale Hospice House.
She was born October 23, 1937 in Tift County to the late Aubrey Hand and the late Ruby Lee Ivey Hand. She was a homemaker, a retired educator from the Berrien County School System having taught at Berrien Middle School and a member of the Berrien Retired Teachers. She was the widow of Maurice Burnum; she was also preceded in death by her brother: Darrell Hand.
She is survived by 2 sons: Michael Scott Burnum of Nashville and Brian Todd (Katrina) Burnum of Fernandina Beach, FL; 2 sisters: Jo Ann McHolland of West Berrien and Sam Hand of Mobile, AL; and a granddaughter: Amelia Mallory Burnum.
The family will honor her request for cremation and no formal service will be held.
