Betty Cook, 80, of Nashville, died Monday February 17, 2014 in the Tift Regional Medical Center.
She was born February 12, 1934 in Hazlehurst, Georgia to the late Lloyd Rogers and the late Verdie Partin. She was a homemaker and worked with her husband in their family business, Cook Timber and Logging. She was a member of the Nashville First Church of the Nazarene. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters: Juanita Boyd and Eudine Anderson; 2 brothers: L.R. Rogers, Jr. and Herbert Rogers.
She is survived by her husband: L.C. Cook, Jr. of Nashville; 3 daughters: Pat O'Steen of Nashville, Debra Cornelius of Nashville and Kay Franklin of Nashville; 2 sons: Hank (Cheryl) Franklin and Glenn Franklin both of Nashville; step son: Marlon Cook of Los Angeles, CA; step daughter: Susie Omori of Panama City, FL; 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday February 21, 2014 at 11 AM in the Nashville First Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Ray Dean and the Rev. Charles Barden officiating. Visitation is Thursday from 6 to 8 PM.
