Betty Jean Martin of Nashville went to be with the Lord Sunday February 17, 2019 in St. Augustine, FL.

She was born August 2, 1930 in Berrien County to the late Thomas Calvin Nix and the late Beulah Luke Nix.  She was a homemaker, worked in sales and was a wonderful wife and mother.  She was a member of the Regency Baptist Temple in Jacksonville, FL for 15 years and later at Hope Baptist Church of Nashville, GA for 9 years.  She was married to the late Herman "Jack" Martin of Starke, FL.

She is survived by her son: Pastor Garry W. (Rebecca) Martin of St. Augustine, FL; 4 sisters: Dean Connell, Glenda Faye Bailey both of Nashville, Christine Burch of Callahan, FL and Earnestine Browning of Reidsville; 3 brothers: J.T. Nix of Nashville, Billy Nix of Lakeland and Ulmer Nix of Oklahoma City , OK; 3 grandchildren: Rachel, Andrew and Jarrod; 8 great grandchildren all of St. Augustine, FL.

Funeral services will be held Saturday February 23, 2019 at 11 AM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with Pastor Ray Calvin officiating. Interment will follow in the Nashville Memorial Gardens.  Visitation is Saturday one hour prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers, the family ask memorials be made to Hope Baptist Church in Nashville, GA or Community Hospice of St. Augustine, FL.
