Betty McCorvey Dabbs. 84, of Nashville, died Sunday November 22, 2015 in the Berrien Nursing Center.
She was born December 17, 1930 in Berrien County to the late Riley Nathan Taylor and the late Essie Elizabeth Wallace. She retired as a secretary with the J.H. Harvey Co and for many years also worked at Rexall Drug Store. She was a member of Flat Creek Church. She was preceded in death by a daughter: Beverly Newton; son: Danny McCorvey; 2 sisters: Sarah Beggerly and Christine Mills; 2 brothers: Lewis and Wayne Taylor.
She is survived by 5 grandchildren: Angie (Rob) Lovein, Margo (Steven) Mathis both of Nashville, Craig McCorvey of Glennville, Darlene (Randy) West and Darren Newton of Savannah; son-in-law: Warren Newton (Ann Wilkerson) of Savannah; 6 great grandchildren; 4 sisters: Martha Barnard of Red Oak, TX, Anita Densmore of Panama City, FL, Latrelle Wood of Englewood, OH and Marlene Nelms of Nashville.
Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday November 24, 2015 at 11 AM in the Nashville Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Mickey Lindsey officiating.
