William Glenn "Bill" Fortner, 77, of Nicholls, died Friday, October 3, 2025, in the Coffee Regional Medical Center.

He was born February 8, 1948, in Lakeland, FL to the late Ira Glenn Fortner and the late Dot Tishwick Fortner. He was a truck driver, worked in paint and body, loved to fish and watch racing. He was a veteran in the United States Marines Corps, served in Vietnam and was preceded in death by a brother: Rob Fortner.

He is survived by his wife: Jerell Wells Fortner of Nicholls; daughter: Erika Jones of Nicholls; 2 sons: Paul Jones of Broxton and Rob Fortner of Douglas; 5 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; sister-in-law: Pearl Barker of Adel; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

His family will honor request for cremation, and no formal services will be held.
