William Courtney "Bill" Swift, 70, of Nashville, died Tuesday October 19, 2021, at UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville, FL.

He was born April 29, 1951 in Pecatonica, IL to the late Paul Swift and the late Donna Carey Swift. He worked in supplies at Nashville Mills for 38 years and worked in security for the J.H. Harvey Company for 10 years. He was a member of the United Pentecostal Church in Valdosta, served in the Air Force and Navy and loved trains.

He is survived by his wife: Linda Nelson Swift of Nashville; 2 daughters: Kay (Art) Rinberger of Nashville and Kim Harding of Valdosta; son: Keith Swift of Bristol FL; brother: Craig Swift of Illinois; 6 grandchildren: Taylor Rinberger, Nick Rinberger, Danielle Rinberger, Logan Rinberger, Rachel Swift and Hayden Harding.

Funeral services will be held Friday October 29, 2021 at 4 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenneth Goff officiating. Interment will follow in the Long Bridge Cemetery. Visitation is Friday one hour prior to the service.
