James Billy Jones, Jr, 78, of Nashville, died Sunday, June 7, 2026, at Tift Regional Medical Center.

He was born December 11, 1947, in Brunswick, GA to the late James Billy “Bill” Jones and the late Mary Chambless Jones. He worked in maintenance at Moody Air Force Base and retired from Chaparral boats. He was a member of the Nashville First Baptist Church, was in the United States Army for 10 years and served in Vietnam. He loved people, dancing, going camping and yardwork.

He is survived by his daughter: Tosha Jones of Nashville; 2 sons: Zachary Zeigler and Jeffery Zeigler both of Nashville; granddaughter: Faithy Jones; 2 sisters: Darlene (Tim) Scarborough of Merritt Island, FL and Yvonne Hammond of Nashville; niece: Chaslie Hammond; 2 nephews: Tim Scarborough and David Scarborough.

His family will honor request for cremation. A visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 2 to 3 PM in the funeral home.
