Billy Owen Murray, 74, of Nashville, died Thursday December 3, 2015 in the SGMC Berrien Campus.
He was born September 10, 1941 in Berrien County to the late Owen Edward "Buck" Murray and Julia Bailey Murray. He retired from Chaparral Boats in 2002 where he worked as a Wood Crafter, member of Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church and was a graduate of Berrien High School Class of 1959. He was preceded in death by a brother: Melvin Julian Murray.
He is survived by his wife: Mary Alice Sellars Murray of Nashville; son: Lyn Murray of Nashville; mother: Julia Murray of Nashville; 2 brothers: Bobby (Linda) Murray of Nashville and Larry (Denise) Murray of Lilburn; sister-in-law: Frances McGee Murray of Nashville; 4 grandsons: Michael (Cassandra) Murray, B.J. Murray, Brian (Kelsey) Murray and Ben Murray; 3 great grandchildren: Kelsey Brianna Murray, Madison Murray and Kayden Murray; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday December 7, 2015 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. R.T. Castleberry, Rev. Mike Bennett and Rev. Brad Baker officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday from 6 to 8 PM.
