Obituary

Billy Jack Turner, 76, of Nashville died Saturday January 20, 2018 in Alapaha.

He was born April 30, 1941 in Berrien County to the late Phillip JacksonTurner and the late Ruby Lee Taylor Turner. For over 30 years he owned and operated Turner Tire Company and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ray City. He was a member of Nashville Post of V.F.W., Disabled American Veterans, Veteran of the U.S. Army with service in Vietnam, member and Past Master of Duncan Lodge #234 F &AM. He was preceded in death by a sister: Charlotte Tyson.

He is survived by his wife: Nancy Lee Luke Turner of Nashville; 2 daughters: Tammy (Kenny) Chase of Opelika, AL and Julie (Thomas) Brewster of Thomasville; son: Phillip (Traci) Turner of Nashville; 9 grandchildren: Ryan Stone, Austin Turner, Taylor Stone, Matt Griner, Lauren Cutshaw, Meredith Pearce, Kate Pearce, Lily Brewster and Barrett Brewster; 2 sisters: Beverly (Carl) Pafford of West Berrien and Phyllis (Alton) Bailey of Nashville; and 3 great grandchildren: Maddox, Waylon and Eli.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday January 24, 2018 at 11 AM in the First Baptist Church of Ray City with the Rev. Robbie Peay officiating. Interment will follow in Beaver Dam Cemetery with Masonic Rites. Visitation will be Tuesday 6-8 PM.
