Robert Milton "Bob" Battle, 82, of Nashville, died on Friday October 15, 2021 at his residence.

He was born October 15, 1939 in Atlanta, GA to the late Marcus Battle and the late Amelia Ruth Irwin Battle. He retired from the United States Air Force after 21 years of service and he served three tours in Vietnam. He was very active in the Nashville VFW, served as Vice Commander and house and rules committee for years.

He is survived by his wife: Janet "Jan" Fuller Battle of Nashville; 3 step daughters: Nancy Alamia of Morenci, MI, Collen (Monte) Powers of Clarksville, TN and Kelly Sue (Casey) VanOrder of Liberty City, OH; step son: Steven E. (Renee) Mack of Wauseron, OH; brother: Thomas Battle of Young Harris; 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Thursday October 21, 2021 at 11 AM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with Mr. Steve Mack officiating. Full military honors will follow service. Visitation will be Thursday one hour prior to the service.
