Obituary

Rev. Bobby Dairel Dubose, 80, of Alapaha died Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at his residence.

He was born December 26, 1943 in Atkinson County to the late Lewis W. Dubose and the late Eula Mae Stevens Dubose. He was a welder, logger, and former pastor of Liberty Church for 10 years. He loved to fish and was a member of Rowetown Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a grandson: Alex McCorvey; sister: Annette Redding; 2 brothers: Carl Dubose and David Dubose.

He is survived by his wife: Brenda Dubose of Alapaha; 2 daughters: Jo Ann (Pernell) McCorvey of Nashville and Jeanette (Lamar) Eason; son: Dairel (Brenda) Dubose; 4 grandchildren: Ashley (Johnny) Summey, James Eason, Morgan Hietala, Kayla Eason; 11 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 25, 2024 at 3 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Bennett and Mr. Keith Purvis officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Luke Cemetery.  Visitation is Thursday one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
