Bobby Alan Gaskins, Sr, 68, of Nashville, died Saturday May 12, 2012 in the Tallahassee Memorial Health Care.
He was born April 28, 1944 in Chatham County to the late Manning G. Gaskins and the late Ada Estelle Crosby. He owned and operated Gaskins Grocery for years and had also worked at Chaparral Boats in the woodshop. He was of the Baptist faith. He served in the United States Air Force and was a Vietnam veteran. He was preceded in death by his son: Chad Wilson Gaskins who died February 23, 2011 and a sister: Geraldine Swanson.
He is survived by his son: Bobby (Virlene) Gaskins, Jr of Nashville; 3 brothers: Ronnie (Sandra) Gaskins of Adel, Neil (Ann) Gaskins of Nashville, and Dennis (Kay) Gaskins of Orlando, FL; 4 grandchildren: Stevie Gaskins, Will Gaskins, McKinley Gaskins, and Chandler Gaskins.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday May 16, 2012 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Chris Newbern officiating. Interment will follow in the Riverside Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday from 7 to 9 PM.
