Bobby Nix, 92, of Nashville, died Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at SGMC in Valdosta.

He was born October 12, 1932, in Berrien County to the late Elbert Nix and the late Maxie Harper Nix. He was a retired postmaster with the United States Postal Service with 37 years of service and a retired bus driver with the Berrien County Board of Education for 17 years. He was a member and deacon of the Nashville First Baptist Church, served in the United States Navy, and loved his family and fishing. He was preceded in death by his wife: Bonnie Joe Parker Nix who died in 2020; son: Jeffrey Joe "Jeff" Nix; 2 sisters: Quida Carter and Mary Beth Harris; 2 brothers: Hank Nix and Russell Nix.

He is survived by 2 sons: John (Heather) Nix of Adel and Jay (Cathy) Nix of Nashville; daughter: Kelly Nix of Panama City Beach, FL; 4 grandchildren: Parker (Allie) Nix, Merilogan Nix, Morgan Nix and Lance (Savannah) Trowell; 3 great grandchildren: Connor, Claire and Hadley; 2 sisters: Juanell Haskins of Nashville and Sue (Donald) Powell of Nashville; several nieces and nephews; special dog: Macy.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 26, 2025 at 3 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Stan Nix officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview cemetery. Visitation is Saturday from 7 to 9 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Nashville First Baptist Church or the National Kidney Foundation.
