Bonny Ray Jones, 85, of Ray City died Saturday May 9, 2020 at the residence of his granddaughter in Jesup.

He was born September 8, 1934 in Anderson, SC to the late Robert Lee Jones and the late Mary Hall Jones.  He was a retired supervisor with Singer Sewing Company in Anderson, SC and a veteran of the U. S. Army.  He was also a fireman and security guard.  He was preceded in death by his wife: Bonnie Greene Jones who died in 2019; oldest grandson: Second Lt. Barry Ray Jones; seven brothers and three sisters.

He is survived by his son: Robert "Bob" Ray (Terrie) Jones of Ray City; sister: Ann King of Belton, SC; six grandchildren: Adam (Kayla) Jones of Jesup, Nicole Williams of Jesup, Christopher (Amanda) Jones of Abilene, TX, Savannah Steele of Tifton, Sydney Jones of Tifton and Alexandria Jones of Ray City; thirteen great grandchildren: Macy, Connor, Madison, Brady, Bryce, Brooklyn, Brayden, Alexander, Caleb, Brandon, Jason, Ethan and Jackson; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Graveside funeral service will be held Saturday May 16, 2020 at 11 AM in Beaver Dam Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday 9:30-10:30 AM in the funeral home.
