Bruce Quitman Nelms' Obituary
Bruce Quitman Nelms, 83, of Nashville, died Wednesday August 3, 2016 in the V. A. Medical Center in Lake City, FL.
He was born August 9, 1932 in Hazlehurst, GA to the late George Moses Nelms and the late Mattie Lee Persons Nelms. He was a mechanic, owned and operated Berrien Auto Service and was an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by 2 daughters: Pamela Gonzalez of Panama City, FL and Belinda Hallowood of Seattle, WA; sister: Laurene Taylor of Lake Park; 5 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He was one of nine brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held Sunday August 7, 2016 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Swain officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be held Sunday one hour prior to the service. Memorials are requested to the Berrien Humane Society or to the No Kill Animal Shelter.
