Joyce McDonald "Buck" Watley, 85, of Nashville, died Monday August 30, 2021, at SGMC.

He was born April 24, 1936 in Lowndes County to the late James "Sarge" Watley and the late Rosa Lee Watley. He was a truck driver and preceded in death by his wife: LaFaye Williams Watley; brothers: Jimmy Watley and Billy Shiver; sister: Gloria Plymel.

He is survived by his step sons: James (Emily) Lightsey of Rocky Face and Ronald (Joyce) Edwards of Kannapolis, NC; step daughter: Renee Rhoden of Lake Park; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral service will be held Wednesday September 1, 2021 at 2 PM in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Quitman. Visitation will be in the cemetery thirty minutes prior to the service.
