Obituary

James Walker "Bud" Tucker, 95, of Alapaha died Friday February 5, 2021 at his residence.

He was born April 4, 1925 in Berrien County to the late Robert Tucker and the late Faitha Webb Tucker. He retired from GA Department of Transportation as a heavy equipment operator and was a member of Mt. Paron Primitive Baptist Church and an Army Veteran of WWII. He was preceded in death by his wife: Susie Lee Solomon Tucker who died in 2004; daughter: Patsy Killen who died in 2011; 8 brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his daughter: Sue Nell Wise of Valdosta; son: Carroll Stone of Jacksonville, FL; 2 sisters: Lillie Solomon of Tifton and Janie Brogdon of Alapaha; 2 brothers: Frank Tucker of Alapaha and Elder Robert Tucker of Alapaha; 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; numerous great great grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services will be held Monday February 8, 2021 at 2 PM in the Mt. Paron Cemetery with Elder Robert Tucker officiating. There will be no formal visitation. Memorials are requested to Mt. Paron Primitive Baptist Church.
