Clarence Mitchell "Butch" Alexander, 79, of Daytona Beach, FL, died Sunday, July 23, 2023, at Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach, FL.

He was born January 27, 1944, in San Antonio, TX, to Clarence Mitchell Alexander and Dean Fowler Alexander. He was the owner of Alexander Custom Cabinets and previously served as the director of parks and recreation for the city of Atlanta.  He graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in landscape architecture and was a proud supporter of his Georgia Bulldogs.  He was a member of the Nashville Methodist Church.  He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Peggy Alexander.

He is survived by his wife, Dianne Ray Alexander of Daytona Beach, FL; son, Trey (Greta) Alexander of Daytona Beach, FL; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral service will be held Saturday, July 29, 2023, at 10 AM in Westview Cemetery. Visitation will be in the cemetery thirty minutes before the service.
