William Carl "Sparky" Sparks, 63, of Alapaha, died Saturday May 11, 2024 at his residence.

He was born June 7, 1960 in Columbus, GA to the late William Claude Sparks, Jr and Dorothy May Lopez. He was a retired truck driver with Corrugated Logistics. He loved his family, work and fishing. He was of the Baptist faith and was preceded in death by a sister: Debbie Reynolds; son-in-law: Josh Weeks.

He is survived by his companion: Alisha Mattox of Alapaha; 3 daughters: April (Ron) White of Chattanooga, TN, Carla Weeks of Ray City and Hannah Sparks of Madison, FL; 2 step children: Ryan Mattox of Alabama and Cassie Robertson of Florida; mother: Dot Lopez of Ray City; 3 brothers: Danny (Phyllis) Sparks of Ray City, Jimmy (Jackie) Sparks of Alapaha and Scotty (Susan) Sparks of Ray City; 3 grandchildren: Gavin Pendergrass, Sara Pendergrass and Liam Weeks; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday May 15, 2024 at 11 AM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Mickey Lindsey officiating. Interment will follow in the Willacoochee City cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
