Carol Jean Pagels, 69, of Adel, died Tuesday October 17, 2023 at Tift Regional Medical Center.

She was born June 5, 1954 in Hahira to the late Joe Odom and the late Corine Adams Odom. She was a homemaker and member of Beulah Holiness Church. She loved her family, shopping and her church family. She was preceded in death by a sister: Marcelle Wetherington; 2 brothers-in-law: Gill Wetherington and Charles Stevens; sister-in-law: Madge Odom.

She is survived by 2 daughters: Alisha Oliva of Adel and Sherry Avery of Atmore, AL; 2 sisters: Ava Nell Stevens of Nashville and Patricia (Daniel) Dean of Nashville; 4 brothers: Raymond (Shirley) Odom of Shreveport, LA, John (Catherine) Odom of Pearson, Don Odom of Lafayette, LA and Jerry (Sarah) Odom of Nashville; 7 grandchildren: Diane McClain, Franky Oliva, Jose Oliva, Amber Dove, Bionca Avery, Kendal Gipson and Abraham Olivia; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday October 20, 2023 at 2 PM in the Beulah Holiness Church with the Rev. Jonathan Walker and Rev. Daniel Dean officiating. Interment will follow in the Empire cemetery. Visitation is Friday one hour prior to the service in the church.
