Obituary

Carrol Elwood Durrance, 91, of Nashville died Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at The Fellowship Home in Nashville.

He was born September 9, 1933, in Berrien County to the late Carlie Ewell Durrance and the late Lillie Mae Connell. He was a retired rural mail carrier with the US Postal Service, a US Army Veteran and was a member of Flat Creek Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a sister: Lucille Sellars; brother: Leon Durrance; stepmother: Victoria Durrance.

He is survived by his wife: Barbara Fender Durrance of Nashville; son: Rev. Mark (Paige) Swain of Nashville; granddaughter: Candler (Carter) Brogdon of Valdosta; 3 sisters: Christine (Jack) Shellhouse of Oxford, Mary Willene (Bill) Kalick of Tuscon, AZ and Martha Nell Dalhouse of Metaire, LA; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will held Friday, June 6, 2025, at 11 AM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Swain officiating. Interment will follow in Nashville Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Memorials are requested to Berrien Health Advocates.
