Carroll Brown Guthrie, 86, of Ray City, died Sunday December 25, 2016 at his residence.
He was born April 3, 1930 in Ray City to the late Herman Brown Guthrie and the late Agnes Knight Guthrie. He retired after 33 years with Martin-Marietta at the Kennedy Space Center as an aerospace quality control inspector. He was of the Lutheran faith and a veteran in the United States Air Force. He was the widower of Jacqueline "Jacque" Guice Guthrie who died in 2014 and was also preceded in death by a brother: Herman Knight Guthrie.
He is survived by 2 daughters: Cara (Bart) Staples of Oviedo, FL and Carol Lawrence of Melbourne, FL; 2 sons: Larry (Sun) Guthrie of Navarre, FL and Mike (Denise) Guthrie of Merritt Island, FL; 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday December 30, 2016 at 11 AM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Lee Graham officiating. Interment will follow in the New Ramah Cemetery. Visitation is Friday one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the Berrien County Humane Society (1111 Exum St. Nashville, GA 31639)
