Obituary

Carson Buie Nash, 83, of Ray City, died Friday September 2, 2011 at his residence.

He was born August 15, 1928 in Berrien County to the late Calvin Buie Nash and the late Nellie Carter. He was a farmer and a member of King's Chapel Baptist Church. He served in the United States Marine Corp and served as the head of President Dwight D.Eisenhower's security forces. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

He is survived by 5 sons: Johnny (Brenda) Nash, Wayne (Tammy) Nash, Randy Nash, Jimmy (Dora) Nash, and Travis (Jeri) Nash, all of Ray City; sister: Alene Griner of Nashville; grandchildren: Jason, Tara, Bill, Dorothy Jo, Austin, Britney, Kayla, Dillon, Haley, Jackson, Kevin, Jason, Kyle, and Blake.

Funeral services will be held Sunday September 4, 2011 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary James officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation is Saturday from 6 to 8 PM.
