Cecil Delmer Bently,76,of Nashville, died Tuesday February 7, 2012 at his residence.
He was born September 30, 1935 in Starex, SC to the late Troy Bently and the late Virginia Jenkins. He was retired from the United States Air Force with 20 years service and was employed with the Berrien County Hospital for 31 years. He attended the Nashville Mission.
He is survived by his wife: Jacquelin "Jackie" Lester Bently of Nashville; son: Woody (Michelle) Bently of Newport News, Va; 4 grandsons: Jody Bently of Arlington, Tx, Danny Polyson , Chris Polyson, and Steven Polyson all of Newport News, Va; 3 half brothers: Troy Bently of Clinton, SC, Joe Bently of Jacksonville, Fl, Ronald Bently of Taylorville, SC; 3 sisters-in-law: Betty Cawhon of Jackson, Ellie Davis and Jean Moore both of Nashville; special niece: Jackie Holland of Alapaha.
Funeral services will be held Thursday February 9, 2012 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. R.T. Castleberry and the Rev. Russ Elkins officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday from 6 to 8 PM. Memorials are requested to the Carrie Dorsey Perry Memorial Library.
