Obituary

Manning Cecil Griner, 90, of Nashville, died Monday December 28, 2020 at the VA Hospital in Gainesville, FL.

He was born March 2, 1930 in Berrien County to the late Manning Ezekiel Griner and the late Fannie Stanford Griner. He was a retired grocery store owner and member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church. He was an Air Force veteran who served in WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by 2 grandsons: Phil Miley and Keith Davis; great grandson: Aiden Miley, and was the last of 16 children.

He is survived by 2 daughters: Cynthia Kay (Mike) Davis of Palm Coast, FL and Fay (Fillmore) Miley of Nashville; son: Richard (Barbara) Griner of Ocilla; 5 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday January 2, 2021 at 11 AM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Jackie Connell and the Rev. Jimmy Spikes officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation is Friday from 7 to 9 PM.
