Charlie Baker “Charles” Bryan, 81, of West Berrien, died Saturday, September 5, 2026, at the residence of his daughter.

He was born January 31, 1945, in Berrien County to the late Grady Thomas Bryan and the late Jewel Inez Brown Bryan. He owned and operated Bryan Woodwork, was a cabinet maker for Chaparral Boats and served in the National Guard. He was a member and deacon at Flat Creek Church, loved hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his wife: Christine Exum Bryan who died in 2024; 2 sisters: Christine Hardy and Susie Hines and a brother: T.E. Bryan.

He is survived by his daughter: Teresa (Todd) Frasier of Lakeland; son: Chuck (Julie) Bryan of West Berrien; 3 sisters: Ruth (J.D.) Hall of Tifton, Kathy (Jim) Williams of Lake Toxaway, NC and Alice (Byron) Saylor of Tifton; 3 brothers: Junior (Jeanne) Bryan of West Berrien, Ed Bryan of West Berrien and Billy Bryan of West Berrien; 5 grandchildren: Seth (Stephanie) Bryan, Sarah Jewell, Brock Jewell, Eli Bryan and Titus Bryan; great granddaughter: Harper Jewell; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at 11 AM in Flat Creek Church with the Rev. Mark Swain, Rev. Mike Bennett, Rev. Michael Bennett and Rev. Garvie Nichols, Jr officiating. Interment will follow in the Flat Creek cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday in the funeral home from 6 to 8 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Charles and Christine Bryan Scholarship Fund.
