Charles Edward Robinson, 72, of Nashville, passed away on Friday, October 9, 2026, at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on December 16, 1953, in Plant City, FL to the late Gene and Genevieve Henderson Robinson. He retired in November 2021 after 47 years of dedicated service to Kelley Manufacturing Company in Tifton. He was a devoted husband, daddy and Papa. He enjoyed a good NASCAR race, a grilled steak and a good television series, but most of all he loved spending time with his family. He graduated from Berrien County High School in 1972 and was a member of Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 47 years, Caye Barber Robinson; brother: Larry Robinson of Plant City, FL; his father-in-law: Elmo Barber and his mother-in-law: Marie Barber.
He is survived by 2 daughters: Lori Horne (Rebecca) of Nashville and Lisa Phillips (Will) of Moultrie; son: Jeff Robinson (Misty) of Ray City; 6 grandchildren: Hunter Luke (Anna), Abigail Luke, Michael Horne, Natalie Johnson, Kaden Paul and Hayden Phillips; 3 great grandchildren: Nora Plymel, Thomas Luke and Arilynn Scott; brother-in-law: Jim Barber and wife Becky; many nieces and nephews.
A graveside funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at 10 AM in the Pine Grove cemetery. Visitation will be held in the cemetery thirty minutes prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, Charles requested donations be made to St. Jude’s.
