Charlie Mitchell Gray, 54, of Alapaha died Saturday October 19, 2019 at his residence.

He was born December 20, 1964 in Cook County to the late James Lamar Gray and Mary Phillips Gray.  He was employed with City Facilities as a refrigeration technician and a member of Alapaha Baptist Church.  He was a man of few words who loved his family.  He was preceded in death by a grandson: Jonesy Luke Gray.

He is survived by his wife: Lynn Taylor Gray of Alapaha; daughter: Morgan Gray of Alapaha; son: Charlie (Amelia) Gray, Jr. of Raleigh, NC; mother: Mary Gray of Nashville; 2 sisters: Vickey (Wayman) Giddens of West Berrien and Susan Steverson of Alapaha; brother: Mickey (Kara) Gray of Nashville; 2 grandchildren: Mary Emma Gray and Hatcher Gray; numerous nieces and nephews; brother-in-law: Carlton Taylor of Nashville; sister-in-law: Charlene Taylor of Nashville.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday October 22, 2019 at 4 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Darryl McHan and Mr. Harold Dillingham officiating. Interment will follow in Nashville Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be Monday 6 to 8 PM.
