Christine Ray Boyett, 85, of Nashville died Sunday February 17, 2019 at her residence.

She was born September 29, 1933 in Berrien County to the late Arteamus Ray and the late Zettie Lee Watson Ray.  She was a retired school teacher with the Berrien County Board of Education retiring in 1998.  She taught five years in Florida, 25 years at Nashville Elementary having taught second and third grades with an additional three years part-time after retirement.  She was a member of Nashville First Baptist Church and the Philathea Sunday School Class.  She was preceded in death by her husband: William Thomas "Tommy" Boyett; sister: Burnell Dennis; brother-in-law: Eston Dennis; and a nephew: Mike Dennis.

She is survived by her sister: EmaJean (Jackson) Moore of Nashville.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday February 20, 2019 at 2 PM in the Nashville First Baptist Church with the Rev. Stanley Luke and the Rev. Keith Stewart officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the church.
