Obituary

Collis Adams, 94, of Nashville died Wednesday May 21, 2025, at Berrien Oaks Nursing Center.

He was born on May 30, 1930, in Lanier County to the late Carson Adams and the late Lucille Pafford Adams. He was retired from Nashville Mills as a production supervisor, was a veteran with the US Army and was an avid fisherman. He is the widower of Ruth Conger Adams who died in 2001 and Josephine "Jo" Swearington who died in 2020; 2 daughters: Linda Gail Adams and Bobbie Jean Adams; 5 brothers: Billy Adams, James Adams, Richard Adams, Eugene Adams and Julian Adams.

He is survived by his wife: Lola Benton of Nashville; grandson: Bryan Bulington of Nashville; sister: Lorene Pafford of Alapaha; brother: Hulon (Angie) Adams of Lenox; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday May 27, 2025, at 2 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Flat Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
