Connie Barrentine, 66, of Nashville, died Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at Berrien Oaks Nursing Center.

She was born January 16, 1959, in Berrien County to the late James Knowles and the late Margie Luke Dent. She was a retired clerk at Berrien County Health Department for 28 years and was a homemaker. She attended Jacob's Well and loved to shop. She was preceded in death by a grandson: Levi Leonard; brother Raymond Knowles; sister: Evelyn Knowles; step-father: George Dent.

She is survived by her son: John (Holly) Gaskins of West Berrien; daughter: Carrie (Marty) Leonard of West Berrien; 4 grandchildren: Lane Leonard, Allyssa Leonard, Lennix Gaskins and Bryton Gaskins; 2 brothers: Ronald (Karen) Knowles of Nashville and Donald (Libby) Knowles of Lake Alfred, FL; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday October 11, 2025, at 11 AM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with Rev. Clarence Luke officiating. Interment will follow in Flat Creek cemetery. Visitation will be held in the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
