Connie Herndon, 70, of Nashville, died Thursday September 9, 2021, in Tift Regional Medical Center.

She was born January 18, 1951 in Cook County , the daughter of the late George Leslie Roland and the late Anne Maude Cato Roland. She was a retired special ed teacher with the Cook County Board of Education and also worked with the Berrien County Schools. She loved her family, absolutely loved to travel and those trips took her to Europe and all over the United States. She was a huge supporter of the Lowndes High School Georgia Bridgemen and Lowndes High School Viking football.

She is survived by her husband Philip Herndon of Nashville; 2 sons: Jon (Ellen) Herndon of Baltimore, MD and Brian (Christina) Herndon of Hahira; 3 grandchildren: Hailey Herndon of Hahira, Alex Herndon of Baltimore, MD and Michael Herndon of Hahira.

The family will honor her request for cremation and no formal services will be held.
