Obituary

Damon Hogan, 80, of Nashville died Sunday April 26, 2020 at his residence.

He was born August 25, 1939 in Irwin County to the late Rev. Clifford Hogan and the late Eleanor Hall Hogan.  He was a retired supervisor from Nashville Mills with 36 years of service and loved fishing, hunting with his sons and his horse: Skip the Appeal. He was a member of Flat Creek Church where he worked with the youth and loved going with them to Super Wow.  He served in the U. S. Air Force four years and the Georgia National Guard for four years.  He truly loved his family and grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by a son: Jimmy Hogan who died in 2019 and a sister: Joan Howell.

He is survived by his wife: Faye Hogan of Nashville; daughter: Michelle (Kenneth) Phillips of Enigma; 2 sons: Damon Hogan, Jr. of Morven and Michael (Cathy) Hogan of Enigma; 7 grandchildren: Jason Hogan, Amanda (Todd) Griffin, Alexandria Hogan, Jordan Phillips, Landry Hogan, Aubrey Phillips and Makayla Hogan; 11 great grandchildren: Noah Hogan, Brandon Hogan, Harmony Hogan, Tate Franklin, Remy Griffin, Ryder Griffin, Brinleigh Hogan, Everleigh Sabin, Matthew Gonzales, Kaleb Phillips, and Leighlan Phillips.

Due to the ongoing COVID pandemic, a private family graveside service will be held Wednesday April 29, 2020 in Nashville Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Mark Swain and the Rev. Gary James officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Flat Creek Youth Ministries.
