Daniel Sanford "Danny" Hillhouse, 65, of Nashville died Sunday August 28, 2016 at South Georgia Medical Center Berrien Campus.

He was born April 19, 1951 in Lakeland, FL to the late Benjamin J. Hillhouse and the late Ruby Wheeler Hillhouse. He served his country in the U. S. Army for 4 years as a tank mechanic and was retired from the City of Tifton as Superintendent of Sanitation after 20 years of service. He was a member of Vickers Church. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Jerome and Neubern Hillhouse; and a sister: Marilyn Griner Hurst who died August 29, 2016.

He is survived by his wife: Barbara "Bobbie" Simmons Hillhouse of Nashville; 3 daughters: Kelly (Jonathan) Hendley, Carley Boyd and Lynn (Dennis) Gaskins all of Nashville; 2 sons: Kevin (Miranda) Hillhouse and B. J. (Kayla) Hillhouse both of Nashville; sister: Carolyn Lawrence of Nashville; 2 brothers: Wayne Hillhouse and Marvin Hall both of Nashville; 4 grandchildren: Jade Brady, Luke Brady, Shiloh Hillhouse Hendley and Riley Hillhouse.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday August 31, 2016 at 4 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral with the Rev. Ronnie Lawson and Rev. Raymond Cason officiating. Interment will follow in Long Bridge Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday 6-8 PM.
