David Clifton "Billy" Hendley, 86, of Nashville (Riverside Community) died Thursday March 29, 2018 at his residence.

He was born January 29, 1932 in Berrien County to the late Archie Hendley and the late Elizabeth Fender Hendley.  He was a farmer and a member/deacon of Riverside Missionary Baptist Church.  He was preceded in death by a daughter: Janice Hendley; granddaughter: Katie Hendley; 3 sisters: Elma Durrance, Idell Dunn and Mary Griner; 4 brothers: Bremen Hendley, Julian Hendley, Talmadge Hendley and Hilton Hendley.

He is survived by his wife: Sarah Gray Hendley of Nashville; 2 sons: David (Carolyn) Hendley and Wayne (Carol) Hendley both of Nashville; 5 grandchildren: Shae (David) Shepard, Leslie Montgomery, Cliff (Mandy) Hendley, Lance (Caroline) Hendley and Lyle (Kayla) Hendley; 9 great grandchildren; 3 sisters: Vernell Bower of Dallas, Faye Mosley of Rocky Mount, NC and Reva Rollins of Douglas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday April 2, 2018 at 3 PM in Riverside Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Futch, Rev. Kevin Stone and Rev. J. W. Dukes, III officiating.  Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery.  Visitation will be Monday from 1 to 3 PM in the church.  In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Riverside Missionary Baptist Church.
