David Clayton Connell, 63, of Nashville, GA died Sunday, April 19th, 2026, at SGMC Berrien Campus.

He was born February 13, 1963, in Aurora, Co to Buford and Charlotte Potts Connell but was raised by Buford and JoAnne Connell. He was a Supervisor at Chapparal Boats for over 35 years. His first love was his family and being a help to anyone in need was the most important thing to him. He played baseball at VSU and also played some minor league ball.

He is survived by his spouse Felicia Jernigan Connell of 42 years, Nashville; daughter: Alease (Daniel) Lowery of Nashville; son: Michael (Bree) Connell of Nashville; father and mother: Buford and JoAnne Connell of Nashville; 3 grandsons and best friends: Clay Lowery, Taylor Lowery, and Mac Connell; 2 sisters: Michelle (Curt) Jackson of Vidalia and Pam Torrence of Cusseta; brother: Scott Connell of Nashville.

Funeral services will he held Wednesday April 22, 2026, at 11 AM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with Rev. Ashton Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in Long Bridge Cemetery. Visitation will be in the funeral home Tuesday from 6 – 8 PM.
