David Gaskins, 79, of Alapaha died Friday, December 5, 2025, at the Rehabilitation Center of South GA.

He was born August 24, 1946, in Irwin County to the late Gordon Gaskins and the late Myra Horton Gaskins. He was retired dye shop supervisor with Tifton Aluminum and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of Alapaha Baptist Church, SOWEGA antique tractor club and a Mason and former Worshipful Master of Willacoochee Lodge and a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his wife: Pamela Gaskins of Alapaha; 2 daughters: Pamela Cason of Enigma and Sonia Gaskins (Tony) Snow of Tifton; 5 grandchildren: Ashton Harper, Seth "Shorty" (Meaghan) Cason, Audrey Snow, Brandi (Ryan) Bowen and Hunter Snow; 6 great-grandchildren: Jackson Bowen, Ellie Kate Bowen, Kennedy Harper, Huxlee Seth Cason, JuJu Snow and Gracie Snow.

Family will honor his request for cremation and a memorial service will be held Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at 5 PM at Alapaha Baptist Church with Rev. Scott King officiating and Jake Ford giving the eulogy. Visitation will be held in the church one hour prior to the service. Members of the SOWEGA Antique Tractor Club will serve as honorary pallbearers.
